Fenders?

What used to be the target of ridicule has now become accepted equipment. Of the SIX riders who attended today's ride, FIVE of their bikes had fenders!

After starting on rain wet roads, and traversing a "No Winter Maintinance" ice covered road sprinkled with limestone gravel(!), we learned just how much traction smooth road tires can have on ice!

Since that didn't stop us, we just kept riding until the sun came out... and my legs turned to rubber :)
